4> Specialise in flying frigates before moving on.
5>If you want revenge... follow the steps above and dont't give up.
Lastly... being a noob isn't shameful... it's the inability to learn that is shameful.

He's a new player... leave him alone now.
Anyone can get on the bandwagon and laugh at the fit and the fact that his Drake lost against a Rifter.
Easy to do.
At least he had the guts to 1, get into low, and 2, ask for help and advice in the forums despite his loss. Give him that much credit.
MOST players wont even get into low but instead be mining or trading in high.

*le sigh* I'm willing to cut you a little slack since you're a new player and all, but there are regions of space with varying levels of security for a reason. Also, you are consenting to getting your ship blown up when you click "Undock". Doesn't matter if it's in highsec, lowsec, or null. If someone wants to destroy your ship, they will...one way or another. This is a game bro. It's also not Hello Kitty online. You will get your ships blown up and your stuff stolen via scams if your dumb enough. Sometimes it'll be for a reason, and sometimes there'll be no reason at all. EVE is considered one of the most hardcore MMO's out on the market for a reason. It's shady, it's seedy, and when your stuff is gone it's really gone. CCP isn't giving it back unless there is a damn good reason. My advice to you is to harden the f*** up, take your loss as a learning experience, join a good player corp, and have fun.
It's an important point to you've made there... that should be emphasized... NO ONE IS SAFE IN EVE... even in high Sec... too many times i've seen miners feel safe in a high sec system, and yet not do the basics that could 'help' protect themselves (like checking local and overview, aligning out, etc).
Treat eve like real life... don't drop your guard...
